I had part 1 of a rootcanal done and the next day it started to throb. My gums all became extremely irritated and sensitive too. It was the weekend so i couldn't see the dentist. The pain was horrendous. I tried Nurofen, Panadol, saltwater and nothing stopped the pain one bit. I read online to try rubbing on toothpaste... I rubbed on Spotlight Sensitive and felt immediate relief. I dont know what's in the toothpaste but it worked. For the few days i had the toothpaste in my handbag and was rubbing it on in work, in the car, during the night in bed, everywhere.it would immediately ease the pain so i could sleep a bit. It stopped me going out of my mind with pain. I never wish to experience that sort of agony again so i will continue to use Spotlight and have bought the childrens one for my kids. Yes, it is expensive but i think it's so important to care for your teeth. By the way, i ran out of spotlight in the midst of the agony and couldn't get it in my local chemist. I tried 3 other toothpastes that i had in the house, including one well known brand for sensitive teeth. None of them relieved the pain at all........ Ive spent a lot of money {and endured a lot of pain} at the dentist the last few years so i am very conscious of minding my teeth now. I will continue to buy Spotlight.

Really good toothpaste that's not only helped my sensitivity but my teeth feel stronger too

I have really sensitive teeth and can’t use whitening products and being a coffee drinker needed something This toothpaste has taken away some of the sensitivity and started to gentle whiten them. Nothing dramatic but certainly do look better and has lifted stains. Will definitely keep using ,pricey for a sensitive toothpaste but it works so I’ll carry on
